Here at Talley, we were created to help rental property owners. It's difficult trying to balance multiple properties and all the problems that can come with them, which is why we respect everything you do. We understand just how hard and rare it can be to find a good tenant and how important it is. After all, a landlord without a tenant is just someone paying for more than one piece of real estate. This means that you need to be able to advertise your property so that it moves quickly. This isn’t always as easy as it sounds. Thankfully, we have a few tips to help you find new tenants that are simple and inexpensive.

1. Keywords. If you have recently bought some new appliances, you should definitely put that in your listing. If you have a washer and dryer in the apartment, make sure to include that. If your rental unit has a lot of windows, be sure to mention that the apartment has lots of natural light. There are a few keywords that you can use that will make all of the difference when written in a listing, so make sure to include as many of them as you can!

2. Basic Prep Work. Doing something as basic as painting your apartment and cleaning the toilet before showing it can make all the difference in the world. Even if it doesn’t look like it needs it, it is always a good idea to have your new tenant come in with everything cleaned. It can also benefit you because you can write that your property was freshly painted.

3. Pictures. Having clear pictures on your listing is going to be one of the biggest factors when it comes to finding new tenants. With the ease of access to technology now, it is so easy to post pictures with your listing. Having a nice photo is as easy as pulling out your cell phone and taking one. If you aren't good with technology, there’s nothing wrong with asking for help. Renting out your apartment doesn't have to be an isolating task!

If you don't know where to look to find your own residents, never fear. Talley can help you get the exact kind of tenant that you’re looking for. Give us a call and let us help you find the perfect resident for your rental property today!
